The Gas tag compiles those cannabis genetics with one of the most popular terpenes profiles in the US, the gas aromas also known as Gassy terpenes. It has a fervent army of followers for a few years now, due to the influence of the US varieties.
Gassy aromas and flavours in cannabis plants are found in the Diesel family (Chemdog, Sour) as well as in OG hybrids.
Among the petrol aromas (derived from petroleum) found in different cannabis strains, gas is one of them. It can be interpreted by the best tasters in many ways, as it is usually considered a so-called multi-layered terpene. It is a complex aroma because is always accompanied by some other nuances, be it sweet, citric or sour. It may contain a strong chemical component such as petrol or paraffin, and sometimes more organic such as petroleum, accompanied by sweet, earthy aromas. Also, onion, usually in fermentation process, or a strong mushroom aroma, which many find similar to fresh Boletus.
These terpenes are usually accompanied by powerful effects, most of the time with a more Indica tendency. They are often strains with high THC levels, so be warned, as they can play tricks on even the most experienced palates. The effects are very strong and powerful, progressing to extreme relaxation, with a great therapeutic value in low doses.
