Permanent Marker by Philosopher Seeds: Permanent Marker x Lemon Cherry Gelato

Permanent Marker, the star of this hybrid, originates from the USA and rose to fame thanks to Doja. However, it was created by Seed Junky Genetics (JBeezy) as a triple marijuana hybrid combining Biscotti, Sherb BX, and Jealousy, resulting in its unique characteristics.

Lemon Cherry Gelato strain, chosen to pollinate Permanent Marker, is the same strain used in Lollipopz by Philosopher Seeds. LCG is also a three-way hybrid derived from Sherbert, Cookies, and Lemon Haze, created by Backpackboyz and a finalist in the High Times Medical Cup, Michigan.

This new proposal from Philosopher Seeds retains the Indica dominance of Permanent Marker, with a compact, broad-leaved, fir-shaped structure. Its ultra-compact flowers are coated in resin, boasting THC levels that can reach extraordinary heights up to 35%.

Permanent Marker, higher yields in less time

The Permanent Marker hybrid thrives in all growing conditions, indoors, outdoors, or in greenhouses. It responds well to any type of fertiliser, whether organic or mineral.

When grown indoors, Permanent Marker can produce yields exceeding 500g per m2 of dry bud. Outdoors, under optimal conditions and with proper care, plants can reach heights of over 2.5m, yielding more than 800g per plant. For outdoor cultivation, branch trellising is recommended to support the heavy buds. It exhibits a medium to short internodal distance with long, compact bud colas.

Indoors, the flowering period lasts approximately 8-9 weeks, while outdoor harvests occur during the first 10 days of October in the Northern hemisphere. In the final stages of flowering, Permanent Marker often displays striking bluish colourations when temperatures drop, highlighting its spectacular production of white resin that covers the flowers and many of the leaves. The encounter between Permanent Marker and Lemon Cherry Gelato has resulted in a shorter flowering time, increased yields, and an added tropical terpene profile to the aroma.
