Power Plant: Cannabis from South Africa
Alongside White Widow and Amnesia Haze, Power Plant ranks as one of the most cultivated strains. For years, it has been a staple on the menus of most coffee shops in Netherlands.
Power Plant is an exceptionally stable and vigorous variety, thanks to its South African genetics developed through backcrossing. This process results in robust plants that deliver high yields.
Power Plant, a productive Sativa strain
Power Plant is a fast-flowering Sativa that is very easy to grow. Even novice growers can achieve abundant harvests in just 9 weeks of flowering, while the more Sativa dominant phenotypes may extend to 10 weeks. This strain tolerates a range of humidity and temperature parameters during cultivation and adapts well to most training techniques.
Once flowering begins, Power Plant can triple in size, making SCROG an excellent choice for its cultivation. It can also be grown using the SOG method, as it responds well to being induced directly into flowering after germination. With medium-to-short internodal spacing, the plant produces long colas up to 50cm covered in sticky resin.
Yields can reach up to 600g per m2 indoors, which is impressive for a Sativa with these characteristics. Outdoors, it can grow into a massive plant, producing yields of several kilograms.

The smoke is smooth, and the effects are pleasant and positive, kicking in quickly with energy and euphoria. As the high progresses, it tends to stimulate the appetite, eventually transitioning into a relaxing phase.
