There are two main families that group together the different marijuana varieties available on the market, Sativa and Indica genetics. In this category we present all the Sativa-dominant genetics currently available on our website.
What are the characteristics of Sativa plants?
Sativa genetics are originally from tropical and equatorial areas. They are much more elongated than the Indica plants, which originate from mountainous areas such as those in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Sativa strains develop much larger plants that can easily surpass 2m in height in outdoor cultivation. They produce large leaves with widely spaced leaflets and a fairly large node spacing. They have a longer flowering stage compared to the Indica genetics.
Sativa genetics can be difficult to control, so novice growers should select easier-to-grow hybrids. Despite this difficulty, the cultivation of Sativa genetics is pleasantly rewarded with a very stimulating and cerebral effect.
