The SCROG growing technique, also known as Screen of Green, is a method of cannabis cultivation that aims to maximise production with a low number of plants. This involves a longer growing period and the use of larger pots.
The SCROG Tag compiles the cannabis genetics that, due to their characteristics, are adapted to this cultivation method, where the plants' growth vigour and elasticity are of vital importance.
SCROG, cannabis cultivation technique
In a SCROG cultivation method, 1 to 6 plants per m2 can be grown. It should be noted that the smaller the number of plants, the longer the growing period that must be provided. In SCROG cultivation, pots of maximum 15L are usually used in soil, and between 7-11L in coco.
In SCROG cultivation it is important to install a mesh to mould the plants (bending or pruning), so that they develop the canopy as if it were a green blanket, optimising the whole cultivation area.
