Genetics
Blue Gelato 41 is the result of a breeding work aimed at improving Blueberry, a very powerful Old School Indica genetics with fruity blueberry aromas. Blueberry is a robust plant that acquires blue tones towards the end of flowering, a feature that has also inherited Blue Gelato 41.
It is the encounter between Blueberry and the powerful Thin Mint Girls Scout Cookies, a phenotype of sweet and minty flavours that produces a strong euphoric effect progressing to a pleasant relaxation at body level.
Blue Gelato 41 is the successful result of this fusion, with some blue-hued phenotypes and dense, terpene-packed flowers. It is an ideal strain for making extractions. It produces a bearable effect thanks to its THC level of between 11%-19%.
Blue Gelato 41 cultivation
Blue Gelato 41 is an easy to grow genetics, with good ramification, short internodal spacing and vigorous secondary branches. It is also remarkable for its high resistance to mould and humidity.
The phenotypes with blue and violet tones in the leaves and flowers, inherited from Blueberry, are particularly striking. It offers a yield of hard and fleshy buds with a large amount of resin and terpenes.
In indoor cultivation Blue Gelato 41 grows up to 130cm in size, being advisable to perform some pruning to control its growth. The plant's vigour and the high production in the secondary branches also make it advisable to cultivate it in SCROG. Under optimal growing conditions, full potential can be obtained, with a yield of up to 700g per m2 in a flowering cycle of about 63-70 days.
Blue Gelato 41 provides a very satisfactory outdoor cultivation, as the exposure to sunlight favours a more vigorous growth and a higher quantity of flowers, compared to an indoor cultivation under lights. It presents a good resistance to humidity, a common problem for many outdoor cannabis growers. Provided with a longer growth period and cultivated in open ground, it can reach up to 250cm in height, with a yield of up to 2500-3000g per plant. The harvest is ready in late October.
Blue Gelato 41, flavours and effects
Blue Gelato 41's appearance is hard to beat, with resin-covered flowers exuding a fresh fruity aroma due to its high terpenes content. The aromas burst with a wide range of citric and earthy flavours on a sweet background.
It produces a very pleasant effect, with uplifting and psychedelic moments. It is a truly cocktail of pleasant sensations, enjoying this great variety from the first puff.
